Welcome back sports fans to anther weekly round up. Let's tackle this beast chronologically for simplicity... that's in order of date for the dictionary challenged.

First up, Raker led The Lost Regiment (TLR) into battle against "Team Railgun" in the CyberGamer Modern Warefare 2 Domination (CG MW2-DOM) ladder on Monday night. The team putting all they had into the fight to come oh-so-close, going down by a mere 12 tickets. The board reading 488-500 when the dust settled on 'Terminal'. "We had a good match, we came back at the end." Raker reported to CW. "The team did very well." Adding insult to injury, bans were handed out by CG admins to three players involved in the match for failure to provide UAC ID's. A hard lesson for the guys with both sides loosing much needed expertise for a further three days. The bans will be an obstacle to overcome when the 22nd placed TLR defend against 29th placed "Ascension:Team2" on 'Highrise' tomorrow night. Place your votes and show the Lost boys your support now!

AEF: 10th pummelled “Impulse Gatic Gunners (iGg)” into the dust of ‘Arica Harbor’ to take 43rd spot. “I can’t give you an outstanding player for the match..." was Mavric’s response when asked about the CyberGamer Battlefield: Bad Company 2 Conquest (CG BC2-CQ) ladder game, though the rest of the 10th were equally convinced they are the secret weapon “Maybe it’s because the 10th is coming together really well”. Ever the diplomat, Mavric leads the 10th up against “Team eXile5” in attempt to wrestle 23rd spot from their grips. Vote for the boys now!

The Lost Regiment dug their heels in on ‘Skidrow’ against “calibre Gaming” on the CyberGamer Modern Warfare 2 Search and Destroy (CG MW2-S&D) ladder, but the boys couldn’t find what was needed. Raker summed it up saying “We had a bad game we lost by a lot”. A massive 2-13 ass whopping would have been a better way to describe it! But, true to the spirit of the AEF and the team, the guys looked at the experience as a learning opportunity “The coms were bad and we did not work as a team, but we are putting that behind us and are moving on” Raker observed. Now bumped down to 23rd spot the guys face another defence against 51st placed “Over Powered”. Show the guys your support by voting.

On the CyberGamer Battlefield: Bad Company 2 Squad Rush (CG BC2-SR) ladder the 10th – SR rocked up to a deserted ‘Panama Canal’ to find their opponents, “OutKasts”, already banished from the land. With a shrug, the guys took 15th spot. After a short sun bath, the boys piled back into their Bradley AFV and aimed the sights squarely on“Effortless Precision” in 10th position (time and place yet to be confirmed). Will the guys be able to pull off a bullseye and move into their namesake position in the ladder? Watch this space! ... and vote too!

The ominous aura surrounding Devils Brigade officially proved its existence this week as even Black Watch found themselves fleeing before the armies of hell. KABLE and his band of misfits and cretins now aim to extend their five-in-row run of clean sweeps as far as they can, and with a trophy such as Black Watch under their belts the morale of “Hell Hole’s Finest” is now teetering on the surreal. Track their progress onwards and upwards from 75th spot on the CyberGamer Battlefield: Bad Company 2 Conquest (CG BC2 CQ) ladder HERE! ... and avoid a $110 fine and enrol to vote in the Australian Federal Election... while you’re in the voting mood, vote for DB in their next match! Disclaimer: Black Watch in this instance is not the AEF:BW

Also on the CG BC2 CQ ladder, AEF: 1st Shock pulled off a shocking... yeah I went there... win over Brotherhood of the Mercenary (BotM) on Laguna Presa, 34-43, to take 9th spot! “Though it wasn't as tight as it sounds” BRARREN, Team Captain of the 1st qualified. “One of ours had severe PC issues meaning that we had our tank sitting in the middle of nowhere for the whole first round. With a full 8 we won the second round with 43/90 tickets.” See... shocking right? ... Don’t tell me your face didn’t go ... VOTE!

Combat Team Bravo, currently deployed on the 'Takistan Campaign', hosted yet another Joint Operation with friendly ARMA clan XDF this week. 2IC of Combat Team Bravo and embedded CW journalist Swordy, has been hard at work keeping the lines of communication open with the rest of the coalition. See the team's blog spot HERE for his reports. Meanwhile I was able to secure some satellite link-up time and drag CTB CO, Wolffy.au away from his duties (which inside sources have described as being cigars and tequila) just long enough to get this report from him following the action with XDF. "It went well, and this being our 2nd (or 3rd) JO with the XDF ARMA clan, is showing that we have a lot in common with playing style and on the battlefield antics." Wolffy.au also made reference to a new challenges that have been presented since transitioning from Codename: 'Armed Assault 2' to Codename: 'Operation Arrowhead'. "With the recent release of Operation Arrowhead, most of our efforts have been focused on mission making and getting used to the new aspects of the [theatre]. This next two weeks should see our training regime restarted on the new platforms." Combat Team Bravo is leading from the front and their efforts in bridging the gaps between the AEF and the external community have been in the finest traditions of the AEF and their sister team 2CAV. All this effort in continuing to reap rewards on the home front as Wollfy.au elaborates. "Numbers of recruitments has increased with Op Arrowhead's release and this is another reason why our Infantry and Crew training modules need priority." With training the focus and more Joint Operations planned in the near future Combat Team Bravo are truly Leading the Way. Salute!

In Team Fortress 2, “Què Pasa?” took on “Requiem Gaming” in the OZFL Winter League and beat ‘em 5-3. I tried to go Scout/Sniper and get some more goss for you lot of adoring trolls but the OZFL site is a wee bit different from CG. I even went Spy and registered there to see if that would shed some light. It’s almost like a Heavy built the place under the direction of a Soldier while the Engineers have been taking a smoko with the Pyro’s...... MEDIC! ...... KeBaB_ThE_LamB or deevus might have to give me a guided tour at some point? “Press Passes for EVERYBODY!” ... I knew CW had its perks.

There was no funny business going on in 10th Elite, though, as they took on “Eminent” on the CyberGamer Battlefield: Bad Company 2 Squad Rush (CG BC2 SR) ladder. simon77, evil_badger, cake and Holden enjoying the sun on ‘Panama Canal’ as they secured a 4-2 win to jump from 43rd to 37th. “Eminent played very well it was a tough game but we were better on the day.” Simon77 reported to CW. However the compliments weren’t flying in both directions as he elaborates... “They did dispute the match... however CyberGamer ruled in our favour, due to a screenshot of them admitting defeat. It was a tough game as I stated earlier, played very well by the whole team.” Just goes to show it pays to get those screenshots eh? Screenshot or it didn’t happen! The fellas now saddle up take a ride on 30th placed “Tiny Poni Klub”. Neigh! Give the boys a “Yee HAR!” and mosey on over to their CG Page to vote, Ya’ll.

1st Light Shock Regiment (1st LSR) took on "War Without Bounds" (wwb) on the games.on.net Shock and Awe Tournament in their latest foray into the unknown. BRARREN, CO of 1st Shock/Light Shock Regiment/1st LSR, made himself available to CW and gave this AAR "we lost to them about 134-0 which means we're knocked out of round 2" Ambush summed the match up simply by saying "We played like *Inappropriate Word*." Maddog_rob elaborated further saying "We lost some core players, and you could tell the other guys were a lot more organised. But we are focusing on getting a our new core players up to speed." The 1st, now knocked out the tournament, have refocused their attentions solely on the CyberGamer Conquest ladder and will also be contesting the GameArena Battlefield: Bad Company 2 ladder when it starts up. CW has also been able to discover that the mighty 1st Commando Regiment will be making its presence felt once more on the revisited GameArena Battlefield 2 6v6 ladder when it opens up in the coming weeks. Good luck guys, Strike Swiftly!
