i have 4-5 settings on Normal the rest on low, Res 1280x1224, FPS with 8.6 drivers and 1.14 around 20-30 very playable for an average system but on the odd day i get this which needs a full restart

Had a problem with Over heating intill i blew all the dust out of the card (Fixed). Most heavy encounters weren't much fun in Arma with it being so Jerky and slow

Playing the mission for the first time tonight was like playing ArmA again for the first time. So beauitful when it's really maxxed out Before it was just depressing having it freeze all the time.

As you can see, my system only runs ARMA on low settings at about 1200m view distance. It's about 4 years old now and becoming temperamental, so I'm hunting around to replace the motherboard, cpu, and power supply soon, so that when ARMA 2 comes out, I can just upgrade my GPU to something that will handle it, and shove in another 2GB of RAM.
ARMA is currently the only game I play on PC. My other gaming fixes are soothed by my Xbox 360, mainly because it's plug 'n' play easy.

His suggestion is SSD Hard drives because of ArmA 2 being disk intensive!

I just hope I can run ArmA 2 smoothly, It may be time for a RAM upgrade.
Well thats the start of my build will look to upgrade GPU in the future and get a better cooler but every game i own runs on max settings smooth as so now just waiting on Arma 2!!!!
