Promotion to SSGT:
A CO may recommend to HC a Sergeant for promotion to Staff Sergeant. Promotion will be generally approved if the member has demonstrated 6 months continuous active service as a SL.
Promotion of a SGT to SSGT does not create an additional Squad Leader Position. A SSGT continue to perform their same role.
If an SL cease the role or the team goes inactive, they are reverted to CPL.

Promotion to SGTMAJ.

A CO may recommend to HC a Staff Sergeant for promotion to Sergeant Major. Promotion will be approved if the member has demonstrated 6 months continuous active service as a SSGT preceded immediately by 6 months active service as a SGT. i.e. 12 months continuous active service as a SL.

Promotion to SGTMAJ does not create an additional Squad Leader position. A SGTMAJ will continue to perform their same role.
If an SL cease the role or the team goes inactive, they are reverted to CPL.

When a CO/2IC (or RSV) ceases to actively conduct the duties of CO or 2IC (or RSV), they are returned to CPL rank.
If a CO/2IC that is stepping down, earned promotion to SSGT or SGTMAJ immediately before stepping up to CO/2IC and they seamlessly return to this role they qualify to retain the NCO rank they earned previously. If they cease their SL role they revert to CPL.
CO's who have previously earned a promotion to MAJ or LTCOL prior to stepping down of their own accord from a CO role, will return to the highest rank earned if they become CO of a different team in a different game.

2IC's who have previously earned promotion to LT or CAPT prior to stepping down of their own accord from a 2IC role, will return to the highest rank earned if they become a 2IC in a different team in a different game.
If a team goes inactive and HC intervention is required to close the team, CO/2IC's will be reverted to CPL. If they apply for the CO position in another team they will begin at the lowest rank in the tier.
All appointments to CO roles are pending approval of HC and are subject to review.
