Kazaar, you've done a bloody fantasitic job with pd and I applaud you and the rest of the guys.

As for a mandate to fix the Division. don't know what you what, as all the power was handed back to the teams a while ago. The admins don't have any say in how the teams are run, as long as it's in the AEF ethos.

I think the admin team just wanted to see how well or bad the teams are going and if we can brain storm a fix for anything that needs fixing. Because the ARMA 2 side of the clan is massive atm and BF3 isnt doing aswell... so i can see the point of concern (:

    MOST DEFINITELY WRONG Rosen.

You guys screamed for more control of your own destinity. Now you have it.

The admins are merely here to provide the means for YOUR gaming enjoment. That is, the back end stuff. Forums and servers where we can provide them and the basic AEF ethos.

If a team can't perform, it's the teams fault.

I don't think theres any easy fix for 1CR at the mo, the player base is clearly not very interested in the game judging by the lack of responses from our 1CR members here only CO's commenting in this forum that i can see. The lack of attendance the lack of forum activity suggests our members have moved on and are no longer interested which is a shame to see.
I put up a BO last week to try and rally the troops only 2 people answered myself and RTB which shows you where we are at right now .

thoughts on merging db and 1cr? might get a meatier team rather than 2 teams that are fading a bit

if db and 1cr want to play 8v8 then merging is the only option, not merely an AEF Combined team, but complete merging of admin, members and ts channels.
Theoretically each team could field its own 4v4 team.

Merge 1CR and DB, fire up the DR brand. Desert Rats, baby, once a rat..

I'll throw my hand up for 2IC in a combined team with committed members.

Some awesome points there guys, unfortunately EA really did jump on the Activision "DLC" bandwagon with BF3. which is a huge shame.

I shouldnt really say anything but there is a new game coming out very soon which may answer your questions and revive team based gameplay that we all loved back in bf2

Well I go on holidays and all the good chat happens while im a away. All I can ad is that teamwork in the comp world is still there, as Kaz said without it you fail every time. As 4 pubs well thats what they are, social gaming. I only use pubs to keep my eye in, I couldnt care less about pub games.

I think the nature of gaming is changing, back in the old days large robust clans were the norm, jeebus when we started PFPN it took one season before we fielded 3 seperate 10 v 10 teams. training nights would often attract 25+ players every time. This is not the case now, BF teams are smaller and players move around allot. Our philosophy is to build a core group and go from there. I can understand comments like AEF first, team second but when it would take me about 20 mins to create a new clan with website, TS and all the trimmings ( No not as good or pretty as our great site ) we have to place a greater focus on the team. Dont get me wrong for those that know me im AEF all the way, its just a modern reality we face now.

Those that dont like the game fair enough but without an understanding of where competitive FPS gaming is now its unfair to compare the good old days to now. It is more realistic to build a framework from within teams can operate. Thats what i believe is happening now. While we havent been shouting our successes on the front page .pd has given the AEF a real and active presence in BF again. I believe that given time the fruits of our labor will gain the AEF more members and respect. As I mentioned gaming has changed and will continue to do so into the future, I believe that there is only room for one competitive team and one social team. To expect anything else is unrealistic.

These comments are in response to the question " where is bf at? ". I wont defend the games nuances. You like it or you dont. I may be one of the few people who is not concerned about where BF is atm. I respect db's wishes to be a social group and empathise with 1CR players who still wish to have a good old bash in the ladders. These issues are above my pay scale but I invite anyone to sit in on one of our 4 v 4 matches and soon 8 v 8 and hear for themselves just how much we put in.

So I guess join pd if you're a committed player after a competitive experience, otherwise, go elsewhere.
