It was awesome. Our flight (4 ship) splashed 14 migs with only 1 friendly loss (me of course). I still haven't learned when not to push a bad position. ( the line - Gutsiest move I ever saw )

We try and fly a package or two nightly. Tough to beat this sim for the realism. Always try and have a peek down in the Falcon BMS channel to see who is there. It would be sensational to have 2x4 ship package prosecuting their assigned targets. I can support at least sixteen clients (that's a conservative estimate)

We don't get tied up with start up, just mission details etc

I thought we were just out numbered, and that our expert flying styles (ie one die to guide us home through the main briefing screen), gave us the edge to bring one of us home each time !! Or maybe not !!! . I hope to get some improve at Christmas Cobra !!

Nice Cobra. Hopefully you were scanning my six in between taking photos of me shooting heaters in a merge?

Or maybe that missile was fired from behind me and just missed my port wingtip?

    Hi Guys

Is this a temporary retreat from DCS due to its problematic nature ? I havn't played DCS for some time, as I prefer flying to tweeking and have reverted to old faithfully (FSX). I have been really enjoying my PMDG 737,Dodosim & the new A2A Cessna, though, I really miss the combat environment as well. I own Falcon A/F, though I have never had it installed. Is it possible to update to BMS ? If possible, and after a little practice, perhaps I could join in the fun ? Do any of you guys FSX ? I hope DCS sorts itself out soon, it's potential has been very disappointing of late ?

    Cheers

    Rotor

For me it is, yes. Mainly because I haven't been able to run DCS multiplayer at all since 1.2.6, but I am also enjoying the environment of BMS more. Missions tend to run more as missions rather than a free for all, and of course it is much more immerse than the DCS Truman Show. For the most part it has been extremely stable, its just the set up that takes a bit of time. The in voice comms feature is also great.

To install BMS you need the original falcon4 .exe file (you dont need to install it, you only need to 'show' the .exe to the BMS installer), Falcon A/F will not do unfortunately.

Always great to have more people on board. Thats another great feature of BMS, you can just create as many packages as needed for the amount of players there on the night.

Cobra hosts most nights from 0809 GMT (+/- 3 mins depending on traffic) until approx 1000

@Rotorwash - There is nothing temporary (for me) when it comes to BMS. It is hands down the best combat sim out there. Most nights I host and when Kaiza and Chippie are there they add to the immersion level just by taking the role of squadron leader and providing the real feel of a briefing (including threat assessment, load out recommendations, flight procedures and so on). The more individuals flying, the more real it becomes. As far as FSX is concerned I also have that but it has been collecting dust (non-static). So kick the tires and light the fire and get that baby installed. You are always welcome mate.
