    The Project Car

    Hey all.

As a few of you know i bought myself a nice little project car a few weeks ago, and suffice to say this has been the smoothest, easiest resto i have ever done.

So over the next couple of days ill post up pics of the beginning and finished product.

What she looked like when i picked her up:

And the finished product, a bit of time in the spray booth, still needs a good cut and polish, but its come out as i wanted, originally i had a 316 V8 planned for it, but after looking through a couple of dealers brochures i decided to go for the showroom floor finish (not true, its too strait to be brand new :P).

Hope you guys enjoy, i know i am, all roadworthy and registered, now to find somewhere to road trip it to.

I applaud all those who put the effort in retaining the old classics.
Cars these days (to me) are all starting to look the same.... WD, FE. She's a head turner!

looks great mate. How long did it take you to complete the project? did you go with any aftermarket modifications or is everything original? the colours set the car off. great work.

I just noticed you were in bris, If you need a good detailer let me know. I can recommend someone that did all my work for me.

Every thing exept the carpet is how it would have come from the factory floor, from start to finish, and taking into account it was already in great condition the resto only took about 4 weeks.
one bonus to living down the road from hotrodders is you pick up alot of tricks with paint and panel work, well that and having a friend with a professional spray booth

Wow.. Doesn't look like it needs much work. Good score. (oops.. thought you just acquired it. Well Done!.. Luv the white walls)

Did that one have vacuum operated wiper blades?
ie: When you back off they slow down to nearly a stop... A bitch when your coming fast into a corner as it's bucketing down with rain... o_O ..(ah, the memories. lol)

Yeah it did have vacuum wipers, though they were shot so i had to replace them with motor mounted arms.
