    AC: APPS Mods.

    .
_AEF Racing Team "APPS MODS" for Assetto Corsa_

Please post all your recommended only.. "Apps Mods" into this thread.

    Example:

    "Helicorsa" Radar App. V6.0

    Info & Download >> http://www.assettocorsa.net/forum/in...dar-app.20223/

Comments: A great app that should have been included in with the sim IMO.. Instead of the basic red arrow head that floats around the perimeter of your screen.
............... Works great positioned into the bottom corner to glance at.... 9/10

    Admin Tools

Great App you can run to give you easy clickable access to all of the server controls, lets you restart session, skip to next session, next track, send three warnings to players, kick players etc... all with a nice little gui that is all point and click.
simply enter the server admin password in the box and click the admin button and you get admin privileges and then off you go.

I know that all AEFRT members are hard core sim racers who only use the cockpit view! However, there maybe the odd occasion where you would consider using bonnet view. As for the other viewing options, that is for species way below the superior PC using race that all members of the AEFRT belong to!

If you have an iPad, phone, notepad spare you could consider using SimRacingDashboard -
    http://www.assettocorsa.net/forum/in...17#post-119952
    and
    http://www.simracing-tools.de/simtools/

So any client that has a browser can use SimRacingDashboard.

Settings can be varied metric vs imperial.
    Different styles available.

Also able to have programmable buttons - a nice version for the Ferrari 312t with 10 buttons for the turbo setting.

    Pit Lane Penalty App
    http://www.assettocorsa.net/forum/in...ing-1-6.17852/

Here is an app that gives you up to 3 warnings if you cut the track, and then on the 4th infringement, issues either a drive through pit lane penalty, which is then cleared when you drive through pit lane, or adds 10 seconds to your race finish time at the end of the race (which the server admin has to do when compiling race results).

Now of course this is not enforced server-side, but it might be useful for a league if everyone uses the app. It can only rely on the driver's honesty. The app does have a chat-based mechanism in it, so that everyone on the server is told within the app when someone has received a drive through penalty, as well as when they've taken it, so it sort of uses a "name and shame" approach to making sure someone actually takes their penalty. The chat output that the game issues also appears in the server output, so an admin can check whether everyone who was issued a penalty has actually taken it.

I think it's great... It's just like speaking to your crew chief (using radio) on what you want/need done before you come in..
or them setting up your pitstop strategy before the race.

After hitting your pit box.. It saves precious seconds, instead of you (the driver) fumbling around with buttons before they even start working on your car.
Something like this should have been included in the sim, just like others before have.

An interesting question, and while understanding the app's utility, I think it removes a skill execution and therefore detracts from the contest.
I appreciate IRL pit stops and the strategy of when to take them can be the difference between winning and losing a race.
And that the driver is not the pit crew! ... and some cars have comms eqpt.
The variables in our digital pitstop are the player's decision making and execution of the pit-stop dialogue. If we automate that, it basically removes any time variability that a pit-stop could provide.
It may be that we cannot police this out anyway, even if we wanted to.

Good thought there. And valid. Pit crews don't all work at the same pace therefore clicking icons simulates the pit various time executions. Funny. Maybe a game like this need a pit sim to go with it. lol. like Dirt Rally

It's understandable some wish to only run AC in vanilla mode and the choice is theirs, but you still have to keep in mind....

AC is a constant work in progress with Kunos updating it as it evolves, and was always planned to be a modifiable simulator.
These sort of app mods are just helping them and drivers along to replicate how it's done in other more matured race sims as well as in real life racing.

Time variations in pre pit instructions (your pit strategies) will still occur according to what the driver (pit crew) plans to be done after an incident free stint/s.
EG: How many stops, how much fuel to be put in, whether or not tyres are to be changed, etc.... This all affects the amount of time spent in the pits.

If your pit crews planned stop/s have to be altered at anytime due to incidents, altered stint lengths, repairs needed, etc., or just tactics.. This can all be done on the fly replicating how they do with "Real Life" communications to the pit crew.

BTW..... PitConfig has now been updated to v1.7.1 >>> http://www.racedepartment.com/downloads/pitconfig.8032/

Yeah. Good stuff. Ive hade time to reflect after the last season. It's true that teams have plan a b c d and e already figured out b4 they race. It's hard to be able to simulate this aspect and try to remember the plans during the race. Drivers, which is what we are simulating, don't usually deal with this added presure during a race. They usually have a team that does all that. We have added pressure of running setups our selves also. Dam we sim racers are good. Simulating pit stuff ups is not that important and it really only sorts out peps who know where to click from those that don't. Pit stuff ups aren't that regular to worry about simulating. Differences are minor in real life but I'm sure would be much greater on a pc. We have members who are still comming to terms with driving and setups, myself included, and it's great to have an app that can make one aspect less stressful.

It's a racing sim. Real racing involves driving, assisting with setups and hopefully the pit crew team and srategists do there thing to help put Kurbs on the podium. So here's to keeping it real. The game needs something like DiRT to make it more real. Where development and pit times rely on who you employ. BTW, some drivers need to sack there pit crew already. Bucks pit didn't change tyres last race and same as felixs crew I think.

    I got spun

I might find this useful in doing car setups. I have no clue, so I figure by using someone else I can compare to what I've done and learn. I figure anyway.

proTyres v1.0.0 - "It's all about the tyre"

Inspired by the AC app Tyres and the work and concept of the brilliant apps Sidekick (by Topuz) and Tire PSI helper (by sacredaardvark).
All pressures, temperatures and wear limits are read from AC exported data including curve files, for every car and each compound.
Custom mod cars is supported if appropriate folder and files are saved in the ‘proTyres/cars’ folder.
Color coding for temperature and pressures are close to AC standards. It’s all automatic, no user input needed.
