Once you have selected your vehicle and posted an "Event time" (E1), you must stick with your selected vehicle for the remainder of the season events. (6 events in total)

    Any objections?

    Hi Nova.
There is a process that needs to be done for your AEF|RT membership that you may have missed... Re: http://www.aef-hq.com.au/aef4/showth...o-Join-the-AEF

You just need to add those few Q&A's and jump onto TS3 for your VI... Re: http://www.aef-hq.com.au/aef4/showth...-aef-race-team

I was available to do a few VI's last Saturday night, but alas you were not available... So let me know via your thread above and we'll get you sorted before the AEF DR: Championships starts... Yeah?

    Super idea Nova!
I would be okay going from start to finish if everyone else is keen.
Perhaps we should name you "Super" rather than Nova-Male (sounds a bit J-Pop to me!).
Hope you get past Skids Introduction - he's pretty tough with the questions!

    updated intro post with answers

was playing with AEF 2CAV for a short while so um. yeah

about half way through first event.

can you guys allow vehicle tuning on the following events.
It sucks driving the standard tune cars. they really don't handle or grip well.

Also allowing tuning would make it more realistic as per proper rally racing.

    cheers

Thx for the feedback. Not sure what happened re tuning the vehicle setup, was not intended to exclude that feature.

  14. #14
    ah k.

just noticed the event re-set so I guess I gotta go from start again.

    cheers for adding tuning though

tried it again and no tuning.

read into it and discovered that this is a bug since last update in December.
They are apparently working on it to allow vehicle tuning in leagues and fix the bug that wont allow it to happen.

guess we are racing with standard setups till they fix it

    Update 1.03

Hello all! At just gone 11am today, we released a patch for DiRT Rally. Here's a rundown of the patch notes:

    • Performance when Weather is set to Low should improve.
    • Leagues will now use a set of stock engineers. The option to use Career Engineers as an option will be going live on the website later today.
    • There are various tweaks and fixes for the audio in Sweden.
    • Rallycross tracks have been allocated more memory, to prevent cases where they forget to load.

Glad to hear you have slowed down a bit! You were minutes ahead of me!
The RallyCross event has been discussed.
It will happen at some stage - we have just about got Assetto Corsa under control from an admin perspective.
If support for a rallycross event is there we will certainly run one.
Wait to see how many drivers roll up to the rally events.
With the 1.03 patch the multiplayer side is looking way better.

Guy's.. Would you like a "Special Stage" (Hillclimb) in between S1 60's and S2 70's... maybe to blow out some cobwebs?

Pikes Peak - 4 Stages (IE: 3 sectors + 1 Full course) - Mixed Surface - Open vehicle selection.

Hill climb sounds like fun, have not tried one before - AC or DR.

Finished the German Stage - no one should be slower than me, Nova is the driver to catch!

Lost 3 tyres and I was trying to slide too much - still driving like in Greece on the dirt.
I'm not sure I improved any from that stage either!

    well I almost ruined it.

Current Rally: Nova-male sneaks past Etch by less than 5 secs!

    ----
Using the list that Nova supplied:
    C1S1 60's
    C1S2 70's
    C2S1 80's
    C2S2 Group B 4WD
    C3S1 Group B RWD
    C3 S2 Group A

    plus

    F2,R4, 2000, 2010

    Current Format:

    10 Classes, 6 events of 12 stages each = 720 stages

Is the program still for one event of 12 stages per week?

Six weeks per class * 10 classes = 60 weeks

Having said all that, using the current rally as a basis, it means a commitment of 60-75 mins per week.
