    il2 Battle of Kuban Announced

The il2 series continues with - il2 Battle of Kuban.

Initially I was a little disappointed but after reading the announcement I understand why the dev team have gone this way. As a valuable stepping stone to the Pacific - yay!

Sounds very positive for enthusiasts of WW2 aviation.

That does sound interesting and definitely is a pre-text to the Pacific theater. I recall playing a map of this area way back in our days with a US based campaign and the Flying Roos.

The il2 46 Kuban map was interesting. I recall using it as a Battle of Britain map at one stage!
This map will be far more geographically interesting than the Russian steppe.
Should be an interesting project. They are updating to DX11 which is a good move.

Anyone who has il2 Surmovik is welcome to join an informal group of AEST based players:
    il2 Surmovik Australasian Pilots Group

Thurday and Sunday evenings from 2030hrs - official il2 Teamspeak.

I understand some of the guys here have already flown with them.

Good stuff Felix - I will have a look at that group as well.

I'm quite excited about the new developments esp the A20 and torpedoes. I'm also quit happy that they gave a rough plan.
