    DIY Collective

    Hi All,

A bit of 3d printing, some very simple Teensy Microcontroller stuff and I am halfway done.

Yes - the parts will be painted a more appropriate colour.

When compared to the Warthog power levers, it does take some getting used to. Once you relearn how to control the aircraft, it is good fun.

The first opportunity I had to try it, was when we went through the drive through. I will have to remap my PPT or put something on the collective that is non standard.

I'll make a more mature version of the prototype and go from there.

If you've got a soldering iron and some basic tools I can't see why you can't put it together yourself ie: kit form

Getting closer to a final version before paint. The friction nut works for the twist grip.

DAMN!!! That is a sexy stick if I can say so.

It would feel so at home in my hands.

    Sounds terrible I know.

looks great, is there any way to lock it at the current angle, or do you have to hold it up the whole time?

Have to hold it up at this point in time. However, I am working on a friction locking mechanism to avoid that.
